Hola!
I am a chilean designer currently living in New York.
My design practice is mostly dedicated to editorial projects; working as an art director, producer, and editor, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. I'm also an avid gardener, composter, and sometimes musician.
For the past 8 years I’ve been teaching in both Under/Grad levels in different Universities across the US. Very interested in anything related to environmental humanities. On 2021 I developed my own class at the Graduate Communication Design Department at Pratt called Nonhuman Perspectives in the Age of the Anthropocene which then further developed into another class, with the collaboration of Jean Brennan, called Cross Disciplinary Studio: Symbiotic Futures. In both classes, students are invited to have dialogues with other living organisms and co-create poetic responses in order to develop a certain way of kinship between them.
I’m very curious, detail oriented, and comfortable working in big and small teams. My teaching experience allows me to be continuously questioning my design methodologies and refreshing my ideas.
