Hola!
I am a Chilean artist/designer/educator living in New York.
I'm also an avid gardener, composter, and sometimes musician.
My interests fluidly exist at the intersection of visual communication, ecology, and philosophy. I’m interested in cultivating kinship between humans and more-than-human life, thinking about design as a site of attentiveness, reciprocity, and ecological memory. Drawing on visual communication, ethnobotany, ritual practices, and environmental thought, I develop poetic, pedagogical, and participatory frameworks that invite new ways of sensing, learning with, and belonging to living systems.
In 2022, I developed a class at the Graduate Communication Design Department at Pratt, with Jean Brennan, called Cross Disciplinary Studio: Symbiotic Futures. In it, students are invited to have dialogues with other living organisms and co-create poetic responses to develop relationships between them.
